« backI am delighted to offer for sale this truly superb quality 18ct gold late Georgian brooch/stomacher with truly the most beautiful large top quality original gemstones.
There are two matching aquamarines which measure approx 9mm x 14mm each and two matching glistening sherry topaz at approx the same size again with a central amethyst measuring approx. 10mm x 13mm. Being early I believe all these stones are natural non-treated stones and the condition and colours are wonderful. Enclosed in pierced collets within an elaborate gold cannetille and gold ball worked setting with great attention to detail. The back has a pin and security fastener. The weight is 12 grams. The overall measurement is approx 4 cm x 4 cm. A finer piece of original antique jewellery would be difficult to find. Acid tests as 18ct gold.
