When the Georgian period ended in 1830 the Victorian period began
with the Coronation of the Queen in 1837. Victorians loved jewellery
and were very influential in the designs of this time. Due to the industrial
revolution there was a growing middle class and successful business men
lavished their wives with expensive jewellery, Victorian jewellery is very
